IPS (Individual Plan of Study) Conferences - 6th, 7th and 8th
Your Counselor meets individually with 6th graders at the beginning of the school year to see how they are transitioning to 6th grade. They will meet with 7th graders to discuss their interests/grades and progression to high school. Counselors will meet with 8th graders to begin planning for high school and post-secondary options. Discussions will include how the students’ goals relate to their courses in Middle and High School, monitor the students’ progress towards College Readiness testing benchmarks, and practice using tools that aid in the student’s college and career explorations.
August/September: 6th Grade conferences
November/December/January: 8th Grade conferences
January/February: 7th Grade conferences
March: Student Led Conferences with an IPS conponet
